Hey hey it’s me Erin! I’m a Pennsylvania wedding photographer and am absolutely obsessed with all things weddings and photography! My job is to be there for you to cheer you on during the most important day of your life – ensuring it goes off without a hitch and that every single moment is captured to reflect on forever!
You don’t want to hire just any photographer to show up, take pictures, and wave goodbye when it’s their time to clock out. You NEED someone that’s invested in YOU and is there as a friend from the wedding planning stage to the last dance on the night of your wedding and beyond!
I want to share with all of you what really motivates my desire to be a wedding photographer and how this passion took off and became a business!
How Did I Get Into Photography?
So here’s a crazy story for you… I have a super vivid memory of camping with my family in the early 2000’s. I was just a kid and had the thought “what do I want to be when I grow up”. The only thing I can remember from that moment was that I thought it would be soooo cool to be a wedding photographer… but that’s too big of a dream for me. Crazy, huh??
I had always been interested in photography, but never had a real camera or really knew how to do anything other than taking pictures of my dogs in the backyard. My Grandfather was a photographer and I believe I inherited his eye and passion for the art. When I graduated college, I was gifted my first DSLR camera and became OBSESSED.
Not too long after that moment, my Grandfather had passed away suddenly and it broke my heart knowing I wouldn’t be able to share my passion for photography with him. My Grandmother had confided in me and let me know that one of the things he wished he did differently in his life was actually be able to profit from photography. I later inherited his camera and God set up a path for me to build a photography business. The fire was truly lit once I started planning my own wedding – every job I book is my way of carrying on his legacy and the business has been growing more and more ever since!
I Got Married Too!
I met my husband, Ryan, in 2014. We initially bonded over our love of The Office, playing Grand Theft Auto, and being able to be our real authentic selves with each other. He proposed in 2016 on our 2 year anniversary at Longwood Gardens with our parents there to celebrate the big moment with us! He spent two days scouting the perfect spot to make sure it was as beautiful as possible. Incase it wasn’t obvious, engagement sessions at Longwood Gardens have a very special place in my heart.
We got married on April 29, 2018 and it was seriously one of the best days of my life! While planning could get super stressful at times, it alllll paid off! We got married at Scotland Run Golf Club in Williamstown, NJ and had the time of our lives dancing the night away to the best disco music you could imagine with all of our family and friends! Being a bride myself allowed me to truly understand the ups and downs that come with planning your wedding day and what the truly important moments are that you never even realize until AFTER the wedding. I am confident and proud to say that this has allowed me to become an expert in the wedding industry and I can’t wait to be able to share all of that knowledge with you!!
